Hello colleague,
I want to begin by thanking you for taking the time to read our newsletter and for staying connected with us at e4health. So, thank you. Your engagement truly means a great deal to both our team and to me personally.
We were especially energized by the incredible response to our recent webinar at the beginning of the month, which welcomed over 700 live attendees. That level of participation speaks to the strength and commitment of the CDI community, and we are honored to support you. Providing complimentary ACDIS CEUs, sharing monthly CDI tips, and participating in industry events are just a few of the ways we strive to give back to the profession we care so deeply about. If you missed our February Roundtable Webinar, it’s not too late to listen and receive your free ACDIS CEU—the link is included below.
This month, our CDI Manager, Vanessa, will be traveling to Louisiana to connect with peers and share her expertise. I also had the privilege of serving as a guest panelist alongside one of our valued partners last week. We are proud to contribute to conversations that move CDI forward and strengthen the impact of our work across healthcare organizations.
Thank you for being part of our community—we’re glad you’re here.
Warm regards,

Team Spotlight
We are excited to continue spotlighting members of our team and sharing the stories of the talented individuals who make up the e4health community. This month, I am pleased to introduce Kathy, a valued member of our CDI team. Kathy brings deep subject matter expertise in clinical scenarios and has become our go-to resource for guidance and insight. She takes great pride in ensuring excellence through her commitment to completing thorough quality assurance on all CDI audits. We are grateful to have Kathy as part of the e4health community and truly appreciate the knowledge, dedication, and high standards she brings to our team.
Kathy Wagner, BSN, RN, CCDS
Supervisor, CDI Audits
What is your role at e4health, and what does a typical day look like for you?
I am a CDI supervisor. A typical day for me is working with our CDI audit projects. I perform quality assurance reviews and provide educational feedback to our CDI auditors. I work with the CDI auditors as a resource in customer access, diagnoses, and query compliance. I develop educational presentations and presents to customers. I also work with the CDI leadership team in developing internal education resources and guidelines.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the e4health team?
I enjoy the collaboration of all members of our CDI team (staff and leadership). I think everyone’s thoughts and ideas are encouraged and valued.
What project or accomplishment are you most proud of during your time at e4health?
e4 auditor. I am very proud of our CDI program and Innovations team for this tool as it has been adapted and upgraded. This tool is not only efficient for our CDI audit team, but the results are able to be viewed in real time by the customers.
What is your favorite part of working in CDI, and why does it matter to you?
I like that CDI allows me to use my nursing knowledge as I put on my clinical thinking cap on to identify any missed documentation. There is always something new to learn, rather it be a diagnosis or a coding guideline. It matters to me that a patient’s chart is accurate and tells the full picture as the documentation will be carried on in continuum of care.
What is one fun or unexpected fact about you that people might not know?
I have a twin sister (Kelly) and in honor or February, I can share we were Valentine’s Day babies. I can rarely go to Wal-Mart or the grocery store without her co-workers mistakenly coming up to me and start having conversations with me. Sometimes, I just go along with it rather than explain!
