New codes starting October 1, 2025 for malignant inflammatory neoplasm of breast. This condition may be seen in documentation as Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC). This is a rare and aggressive type of breast cancer where the cancer cells block lymph vessels in the breast, leading to swelling, redness, and warmth. Symptoms develop quickly- within 3-6 months. New codes are as follows:
* C50.A0 Malignant inflammatory neoplasm of unspecified breast
* C50.A1 Malignant inflammatory neoplasm of right breast
* C50.A2 Malignant inflammatory neoplasm of left breast
