e4health Helps Client Achieve Successful Independent Cerner Millennium Code Upgrade

In response to financial challenges, one of e4health’s clients sought out a cost-effective, reliable option to aid in their Cerner Millennium upgrade.

Through its years of experience working with various healthcare organizations, e4health has matured a cost-effective upgrade plan that has helped organizations dramatically reduce costs, while improving their self-sufficiency.

e4health helped this client complete their Millennium upgrade on time and with zero critical/high issues going into the event. The cutover was successful and resulted in approximately 10 issues logged post upgrade. One of the largest concerns organizations have going into an upgrade is, “will response time on my Service Requests (SRs) suffer if I don’t go through the Upgrade Center?” This upgrade proved that the same attention can be provided to client logged SRs as long as those SRs are tracked and managed effectively. As part of this upgrade, all SRs logged had Cerner engagement and were resolved in a timely fashion to the client’s satisfaction.

“We leveraged our engaged Integration Architects from e4 to lead our 2018.01 to 2018.04 code upgrade,” said the client’s Director of IT Applications. “We previously used Cerner Upgrade Center, and the outcomes of the e4-led upgrade were much smoother and well-orchestrated. Starting with domain strategy planning, code package identification, and developing and executing the upgrade strategy, the e4 team had a sound strategy. We had very few issues due to appropriately planned testing events and execution and were on top of code fixes needed. The cost savings we had were fairly significant as well. I plan to reach out to e4 for future upgrades.”
