On May 15, 2025, the Fitler Club in Philadelphia buzzed with inspiration, connection, and empowerment as the Metro Philadelphia HFMA hosted its 10th Annual Women in Health Care Leadership Event. e4health proudly served as the lunch sponsor for this milestone event, held from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET in the stunning Fitler Club ballroom. This remarkable day brought together trailblazing women leaders in healthcare to share stories, insights, and strategies for building lasting legacies in both personal and professional spheres.
A Day of Inspiration and Empowerment
The event kicked off with a powerful keynote session: a fireside chat featuring Madeline Bell, President & CEO, and Sophia G. Holder, EVP & CFO, of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Their discussion set an inspiring tone, amplified by recent news from CHOP, highlighted by The New York Times: “Baby Is Healed With World’s First Personalized Gene-Editing Treatment“. This groundbreaking achievement underscored the innovative spirit of the day.
The agenda was packed with impactful sessions, including a “Tales from Women Executives” panel featuring luminaries like Alicia Gresham, CEO of Pennsylvania Hospital; Ann Jordan, President and CEO of HFMA; Dominique Casimir, SVP of Enterprise Asset Management at Jefferson Health; and Gail Kosyla, EVP and CFO of Yale New Haven Health. Moderated by Nicole Fox, MD, MPH, FACS, CPE, Associate Chief Medical Officer at Cooper University Health Care, the panel shared candid advice that resonated deeply with attendees:
“You don’t have to be perfect.”
“Pick the people, then the place, then the role.”
“You don’t have to know everything.”
“You are smart enough to be in the room.”
“There is no work-life balance—just choices and consequences.”
Afternoon sessions continued to spark reflection and growth. Patti Brennan, CEO of Key Financial, Inc., and former ICU nurse, delivered a thought-provoking talk titled “Am I Going to Be Okay? And is Okay Enough?” Charisse Dean, Advisory Managing Director at KPMG, closed the day with “Legacy Leaders: Inspiring Growth Across Generations,” encouraging attendees to think about the impact they leave across generations.
