Connectomic Analysis Mapping of the Brain

Connectomics is the study of nervous system connections of the brain. Mapping allows the assessment of brain connectivity and function relevant to the causes of mental and neurological illnesses. A connectomic analysis, needs to identify and measure the soma, dendrites, axonal path, and branching patterns together with the synapses and gap junctions of the neurons involved in any given brain circuit or network.
