Welcome to the 8th edition of the e4health CDI Insider! (FREE CEU info included!)
CDI Insider

Happy Holidays! This time of year is one of my favorites, the decorations, traditions, gatherings, and the sense of connection that fills the season. My hope is that each of you finds a moment to pause and experience the warmth and joy that make this time so meaningful.

Earlier this month, I received an unexpected and truly meaningful gift from e4health: the opportunity to learn and grow. Our Executive Leadership Team spent several days at Brown University’s Ivy League School of Professional Studies, engaging with exceptional faculty and participating in conversations that challenged us to think more deeply, lead with intention, and broaden our perspective. The experience was rich with strategy, reflection, collaboration, and shared laughter and it will undoubtedly shape how we lead and how we serve our clients in the year ahead.

Another gift I am truly grateful for is our incredible CDI team. Each month, we would like to highlight the individuals who consistently support our valued customers and embody our shared passion for Inspiring CDI Excellence. Their dedication, expertise, and commitment make a meaningful difference every day, and we are excited to recognize and celebrate the people who help make our work—and our impact—so special.

Please keep scrolling to check out our first CDI spotlight, Vanessa Elliott.

As we close out the year, we are grateful for the trust of our clients and partners and excited about what’s ahead. Wishing you a season filled with peace, joy, and moments that matter.

Warm regards,

Team Spotlight: Vanessa Elliott

Vanessa Elliott

We are excited to begin spotlighting members of our team so you can get to know the incredible individuals who make up the e4health community. For our first feature, I am pleased to introduce our CDI Manager, Vanessa Elliott. Vanessa brings energy and positivity to our team, and her leadership and enthusiasm are felt by everyone she works with. We especially admire her initiative and creativity, including the launch of her own nursing podcast—an accomplishment we encourage you to check out here: Nursing the Brave New World — https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/nursing-the-brave-new-world/id1725631147

What is your role at e4health, and what does a typical day look like for you?

I am the Manager of CDI Staffing Services at e4 health which involves managing the clients and staff and making sure all needs for both the customers and staff. In addition, this involves working directly with clients to make sure the staff continue to provide stellar services at the client site. Every day is unique, but I spend a lot of time meeting with clients and staff to make sure the expectations of the assignment are as clear as possible and to also make sure that the client is not needing anything additional from us.

What do you enjoy most about being part of the e4health team?

One of my favorite things about working at e4health is the team I work with because they are the ones that make this organization thrive and I look forward to seeing the team grow and e4health thrive.

What project or accomplishment are you most proud of during your time at e4health?

Within the last year, we took on a program for a client that needed to be rebuilt and our staff at e4health has knocked it out of the park. I feel fortunate to be a part of that success both for the organization and for e4health.

What is your favorite part of working in CDI, and why does it matter to you?

I love so many things we do here, but I really enjoy meeting with potential new hires in the interview process. It is so important that we learn more about them and what they can bring to us while sharing more about our organization and why it is a great place to work.

What is one fun or unexpected fact about you that people might not know?

I am not a professional nor claim to be, but I love to dance!

You also host a podcast—what inspired you to start it, and where can readers tune in?

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet many nurses with incredible stories, and it felt like a meaningful way to create space for them to share their journeys and how those paths have unfolded. I spent quite a bit of time wondering whether it would be successful, but I came to realize that success looks different for everyone. If even one person hears something that helps them decide to pursue nursing—or helps them understand that it may not be the right fit for them—then it has served its purpose.
